Use a passkey to sign in to Yahoo

With a passkey, you can use your face, fingerprint or screen lock to sign in to your Yahoo account with your mobile device. It's faster and can be more convenient than signing in with a password.

Create a passkey

The option to use a passkey as a sign-in method may not yet be available for you, or your mobile device may not support it. If you see the option to create a passkey when you sign in to your Yahoo account with your mobile device, follow the prompts to complete the process.

Once you've created a passkey with your device, you'll see this device listed under Face/Fingerprint/PIN Sign-in on your account security page.

Remove passkey sign-in for a device

  1. Sign in to your Yahoo account security page.
  2. Go to Face/Fingerprint/PIN Sign-in.
  3. Select Turn off.
  4. Select Remove.
  5. Select Yes, Remove to confirm you'd like to remove passkey sign-in for your device.
